The Cortland Rotary Breakfast Club is under new leadership.
Andy Stevens has been tapped to head the local charity group. Stevens was selected to take over as Chair of the Cortland Breakfast Rotary Club at the groups annual Pass the Gavel dinner and ceremony. Outgoing President Tom Turck passed on the leadership role, Stevens has spent the last year preparing for the position by working with Turck on various projects.
Stevens was inducted into the Rotary Club in 2009, he works for 3D RADAR, a technology company with offices in Homer. He has taken an active role in Rotary projects, serving on the Pumpkinfest Committee, and as Chair of the annual Red Kettle Campaign for the Salvation Army.
During Turck’s tenure the Rotary Club grew its membership and successfully raised funds for a variety of charitable organizations and programs, including Polio Plus, Loaves & Fishes and dozens of other local, regional and international charities.
The Cortland Breakfast Rotary Club has been performing service above self for the Cortland Community for more than 22 years. The group meets at 7 a.m. every Wednesday at the former Briggs Hall Funeral Home, in Homer.
