Cortlandville Man Accused of Damaging Police Car
The Cortland County Sheriff's Department has arrested a Cortlandville man after he became disorderly with a Sheriff’s Deputy.

Police say just before 1o’clock Saturday morning a deputy on patrol saw two people walking along Weaver Road in Polkville.
The Deputy stopped to talk to the individuals, one the men 30 year old Scott Fairweather of 2117 Weaver Road, was intoxicated and started shouting obscenities towards the officer. 
Police say Fairweather became more argumentative, the deputy then arrested Fairweather for disorderly conduct and placed him into the back of the patrol car. While in the car Fairweather kicked the rear door window of the patrol vehicle breaking the window frame. He was taken to the Cortland County Sheriff's Department for processing. He was charged with disorderly conduct and a misdemeanor count of criminal mischief. Fairweather was ticketed and released, he’s due in Cortlandville Town Court.
