Red Cross Seeking Volunteers to Help in Flood Ravaged Areas
The American Red Cross of Central New York Chapter is asking for volunteers to help those affected by flooding in Herkimer, Oneida and Chenango counties.
The American Red Cross is currently sheltering, feeding and providing necessary services for those displaced by the recent flooding.
The Red Cross needs volunteers who can help feed, lift bulky items, load vehicles and do administrative duties.
To volunteer, you must be at least 18 years of age.
If you are interested, call 1-800-RED CROSS you can also send donations directly to the Red Cross.
For those dealing with power outages as a result of the flooding, National Grid is distributing dry ice in Herkimer and Mohawk for flood victims from 9am-4pm today.
