Man Admits Assaulting Man With Baseball Bat
A Cortland man has admitted assaulting another man with a baseball bat at a home in McGraw last January.

36 year old Duron Ruffin of Cortland was charged with felony counts of assault and criminal possession of a weapon and misdemeanor menacing charges.

Back in January Cortland County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a call for a domestic problem at an apartment complex on Church Street in McGraw.

Ruffin hit a man with a bat after he found the victim in an apartment with his allegedly ex-girlfriend.

Ruffin pled guilty to a felony charge of assault; in exchange prosecutors have recommended he be sentenced to two years in prison.

Ruffin was arrested again May after he was involved in a fight in front of 77 Main Street with a 38 year old woman. During the course of the fight Ruffin is accused of threatening with a knife and punched her in the head.

Ruffin was charged with a felony menacing charge as well as a felony weapons possession charge and harassment.
