SPCA Investigators Charge Cortland County Man For Abandoning Dog
Cortland County SPCA Investigators have made an arrest in connection with an animal cruelty case.
Back on April 20th, Animal Cruelty Investigators received a call about a dog that was left tied up to a tree along the railroad tracks near Delaware Ave in Cortland.
Officers found the dog which had been abandoned; they determined the Husky Mix had been left there without food and water for about three days.

Through investigation it was found that Johnathon Storm Lee Berry age and address not provided, had received the dog from another unnamed person who could not have a dog in their apartment.  
Berry took the dog to the secluded location and tied the animal to the tree and walked away.
Berry was is facing misdemeanor charges including overdriving, torturing and injuring animals; failure to provide proper sustenance, abandonment of an animal, and failure to provide appropriate shelter for dogs left outdoors.
Berry was arrested Thursday he was released on appearance tickets, he is cue in Cortland City Court on July 10th.
