Greek Peak Owner Set to Announce Planned Improvements to Ski Facilities

The new owners of Greek Peak Mountain Resort in Virgil are holding a press conference Thursday morning to announce details of a planned $3 million dollar improvement project at the resort.
New owners John Meier and Marc Stemerman, who purchased Greek Peak, the Hope Lake Lodge, attached water park, and outdoor adventure center back in April for just under $7 million dollars;the businessmen reportedly plan to announce an over $3 million investment in the skiing and snowboarding facilities.
The ski facilities have not seen any major upgrades in at least 35 years.
Prior to Greek Peak's financial troubles that ultimately resulted in a bankruptcy proceeding and sale of the resorts assets, former owner Al Kryger had plans to install a high speed quad lift as well as add new trails to the slopes.
Greek Peak currently consist of thirty-two trails, six chair lifts, two surface lifts, beginners’ slope, and three Terrain Parks.
The neighboring Adventure Center features a Mountain Coaster, Zip Lines and Ropes Course. The new Tubing Center is also located there.
The announcement will be made at 11 a.m.. Thursday at the base of the mountain.
