Cortland County Relay For Life Goes As Planned Even With Rain

Despite a few showers in the forecast the annual Cortland County Relay for Life went on as planned last night.
The annual Relay for Life helps raise funds to find a cure for cancer and also serves as an opportunity to celebrate those that are winning the fight against deadly disease. The event also remembers those that have lost the fight.
This year the relay relocated from the SUNY Cortland campus to the Cortland County Fairgrounds this year due to construction at the college.
Last year 52 teams participated in the relay they raised $130 thousand dollars.
Closing ceremonies were at 6 o’clock this morning.
