City Police Investigate Pedestrian Hit & Run Crash, Man Sustained Serious Injuries
Cortland City Police are asking for the public’s help with information in connection with a pedestrian hit and run accident that occurred early Wednesday morning on Clinton Avenue.

City police say just after midnight an unidentified 21 year old man was walking along Clinton Ave near the intersection of Rickard Street when he was hit by an unknown vehicle.

The collision tossed the man into the air; he landed a short distance away. The victim sustained serious internal injuries and a broken arm; he is recovering at University hospital in Syracuse.

The operator of the vehicle did not stop.

Police say the victim could not provide many details about the vehicle; detectives say the vehicle should have heavy front end damage. Anyone with information should call 758-8307.
