Ithaca Police Investigating Early Morning Home Invasion
Ithaca Police are investigating a burglary and forcible touching incident that occurred early Wednesday morning.
City Police say around 1 this morning officers responded to the area of 100 Blair Street for a reported burglary.
Officers began searching the area, several people were stopped and questioned, but no suspects were identified.
The victim in the case reported that she awoke to a man standing over her bed who was attempting to put his hand down her pants. The woman was able to fend off her attacker and he fled out the front door. 
Police say an investigation revealed that the suspect was got in by cutting a screen and entering an unlocked window. The victim was not physically injured and no weapons were displayed.
The suspect is described as a man with a slender build and standing around 6'0” tall, he had short beard or unshaven face and wearing a dark colored puffy jacket.
