Judge Increase Bail For Chenango County Man Accused of Murdering His Wife
A Chenango County man accused of murdering his wife was in court Tuesday where he pled not guilty.
38 year old Ganesh Remy Ramsaran was charged with second-degree murder on May 17.
His wife, Jennifer Ramsaran, was reported missing on Dec. 11 after she left her home to go Christmas shopping at Destiny USA in Syracuse.
The young mother’s body was found in February on the side of the road in the town of Pharsalia. Her cell phone was found in her minivan in Norwich.
Yesterday in court Chenango County Prosecutors announced that Jennifer Ramsaran was murdered the same day she was reported missing. There is evidence suggesting that she was killed as she was seeking a divorce from Ramsaran.
Last week Remy Ramsaran was released from jail after posting $300,000 bail. On Tuesday his bail was raised to $500,000 cash or $1 million bond and he was taken back into custody.
