A Cortland man is facing stalking and child endangerment charges after he repeatedly asked a teen out on a date.
26 year old William Zelsnack of 19 Union Street was arrested Monday by Cortland City Police.
Zelsnack is accused of waiting outside the home of a 14 year old girl and repeatedly asking the teen out. Police say Zelsnack also sent several messages to the teen via Facebook; he asked her to keep the date request and the contact quiet and not discuss it with her parents.
The teen did tell her parents who called police, Zelsnack was charged with misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child and stalking, he was awaiting arraignment today in City Court.
