Pudding Theft Leads to Multiple Charges For Cortland Woman
A Cortland woman is facing multiple charges after she attempted to steal pudding from a local grocery store.

Cortland City Police say 27 year old Alicia Warren of 54 ½ East Avenue Cortland is facing multiple charges including a felony count of robbery. Warren is also facing misdemeanor counts of fleeing a police officer and reckless driving, along with unlawful possession of marijuana.
Police say warren attempted to steal pudding from the P&C Grocery store at 160 Clinton Avenue, during the theft she fought with a manager who tried to stop her.
Warren got in her car and fled the area; she was stopped on Plaza Drive near the store, during the traffic stop she took off leading police on a short pursuit. During the chase Warren is accused of violating multiple traffic laws.
Warren eventually stopped on Rickard Street, she was taken into custody. Warren was awaiting arraignment today on the criminal charges; she was also issued 17 traffic tickets.
