Dryden Man Accused Of Sharing Child Porn
A Dryden man is accused of possessing and sharing child pornography.
State Police have charged 39 year old Erik R. Pursell of Harford Road with promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child, both felonies.
Pursell was arrested Thursday following an investigation.
The New York State Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force discovered that Pursell was sharing computer files containing child pornography via a peer-to-peer internet network.
Troopers executed a warrant at Pursell’s apartment in Dryden Thursday morning and found videos and photos on his computer.
Pursell was taken into custody at the state police barracks in Dryden.
He was arraigned and sent to Tompkins County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail, he is due in court on May 7th.
