Syracuse Man Leads Ithaca Police on Highspeed Chase, Three Officers Injured
A Syracuse man was sent to Tompkins County Jail without bail after hitting an unmarked police car and injuring three police officers with a stolen vehicle.

On Thursday (April 11th) afternoon, Ithaca Police responded to the Hess Station on Elmira Road regarding a vehicle being stolen from the parking lot. Officer's responded to the scene and spotted the vehicle driving through the city and attempted to pull over the driver.
The driver was David Manzi, 53, of Syracuse. Ithaca Police say Manzi was driving at a high rate of speed and at times the wrong way down a one way road.
Manzi struck an unmarked police car with three officers inside. The vehicle received extensive damage. The officers were taken to a nearby hospital and treated for neck and back pain.
Manzi left the vehicle and fled on foot. Ithaca Police later found him inside a nearby housing complex.
He was arraigned Thursday evening in Ithaca City Court on charges of grand larceny in the third degree and reckless endangerment in the first degree, both class D felonies.
Additional charges are pending
