Whitney Point Man Accused of Possessing and Manufacturing Meth
A traffic stop in the Broome County Town of Barker has led to the discovery of a meth lab in the Town of Whitney Point.
On Monday afternoon State Police stopped a vehicle due to an expired registration, during the stop the trooper determined that the driver 50 year old Erik Muller of 189 Eldrige Road, Whitney Point, was driving with a suspended license.
At Muller’s request his vehicle was towed back to his home, the Trooper drove Muller home to complete the stop and issue traffic tickets.
While at Muller’s residence, the trooper observed several items in plain view that are used in the manufacture of the drug methamphetamine.
A search of Muller’s home turned up quantities of meth as well as the equipment to manufacture the drug.
Muller was charged with a felony count of Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine along with misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled, and two counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia.
Muller was arraigned in the Town of Barker Court and remanded to the Broome County Jail without bail. The investigation is continuing.
