Every school district in Cortland County will see an increase in state aid in the coming year; some local districts will see more money than others.
According to state budget documents, the McGraw School district will see the largest increase in aide among the five school districts here in Cortland County.
McGraw will see $6.2 million in funding, a 9% increase over the current year. The Homer School District will see nearly $16 million in state aid, a 6% increase. The Cincinnatus district will see a nearly 5% increase in aide a total of $8.3 million. The Marathon School District will see a 2% increase, Marathon will get $9.5 million and the Cortland City School District will see a 4% increase for a total of $22 million in State aid.
The Cincinnatus, Cortland and Marathon schools are receiving money to implement universal pre- k programs.
