Slick Roads Contribute to a Slew of Crashes
Yesterday afternoon’s snowstorm kept first responders busy, several accidents occurred just after five o’clock last night.

Several minor accidents occurred on I-81 between Preble and Cortland, including cars into guard rails and vehicles stuck in the medians.
 
Cortland City Firefighters responded to a serious crash on Locust Avenue after a minivan slid into a pole, splitting it. While on the scene another van slid down the steep hill and nearly struck a city emergency vehicle.

Moments later another van slid across rt. 13 and took down a sign at the intersection of Locust Ave and Rt.13. No serious injuries were reported.
 
McGraw rescuers responded to a one car rollover near the intersection of Rt.41 and Telephone road. Two women reported minor back pain as a result of the crash; Rt. 41 was closed down while crews cleared the scene.
