Cortland Man Found With Meth After He Was Stopped For Disorderly Conduct
A Cortland man is facing drug and other charges after he refused to stop shouting profanities and acting in a disorderly manner.
Cortland Police say 44 year old John Rosen of 4309 Homer Avenue was arrested Saturday and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and possessing the ingredients to manufacture methamphetamines; the last two charges are misdemeanors.
Police say they stopped Rosen near the intersection of Randall and Main Street because he was shouting profanities while riding his bike.
Police say when they tried to take Rosen into custody he fought with officers, he was also found in possession of a small quantity of the drug meth and the ingredients to make the drug.
Rosen was arrested last July after City Police uncovered a meth lab in Rosen’s apartment at 76 ½ Lincoln Avenue.
Rosen was arraigned in City Court and sent to the county jail on $500, he’s due in court today.
