Lansing Man Accused of Threatening Woman During Fight in Cortlandville
A Tompkins County man is facing charges stemming from a domestic dispute at a home on McLean Road in Cortlandville.
27 year old Paul Hornbrook of 60 E. Shore Circle, Ithaca was arrested Monday by Cortland County Sheriff’s Deputies and charged with menacing in the 3rd degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the 4th degree, petit larceny, criminal mischief in the 4th degree, all misdemeanors and harassment in the second degree, a violation.
Sheriff’s Deputies investigated a domestic dispute that occurred on March 2nd, at a home located at 781 McLean Road.
Police say Hornbrook was involved in a fight with an unidentified woman at that address. Hornbrook is accused of grabbing a cell phone from the woman and refused to return it to her. Hornbrook is accused of shoving the woman to the ground and threatened her with a metal fireplace tool. Police say he also damaged items inside the home.
The victim reported minor injuries, as a result of the fight.
Hornbrook was arraigned at the Town of Cortlandville Court, and sent to the Cortland County Jail in lieu of $500.00 cash or $1,000.00 bond he is due back in court today.
