Child Welfare Investigation Leads to Pot Bust in Willet
he Cortland County Sheriff’s Department has charged two people in connection with a marijuana bust in the Town of Willet.
Following a 2 month investigation the Cortland County Sheriff's Deputies have arrested 21 year old Renae Lowe and 27 year old Travis Parks both of 5563 Carr Road, Willet.
Police say back in December officers were assisting the Cortland County Child Protective Services at the Willet home. While there an officer detected an odor of burnt marijuana coming from the home. Further investigation uncovered large amount of marijuana in different areas of the home, along with a marijuana plant growing in a side room of the residence. 
Parks was charged with a felony count of marijuana possession, he was in possession of more than a pound of pot and a misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of a child. Lowe was charged with endangering as well.
Both were arraigned in Willet Town Court Parks was held on $1000.00 cash, $5000 bond.
Lowe was held on $250.00 cash, $1000 bond, both are due back in court  reappear on March 13, 2013 at 6 PM.
