Ex-Boyfriend Admits to Murdering Auburn Nurse Katie Socci

A man has pleaded guilty to killing Auburn Nurse Katie Socci in 2011.
According to the Cayuga County District Attorney's Office David McNamara, who is already serving prison time on drug charges, pleaded guilty to a charge of second degree murder in connection with Socci’s death.
Police found the 29-year-old woman’s body in a wooded area after a daylong search on June 15, 2011.McNamara will be sentenced to 20 years to life in prison in addition to the two-year sentence he is serving on drug charges.
According to Cayuga County District Attorney Jon Budelmann, the Socci family is happy to have closure.
