The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the robbery of a cab driver in the Village of Lansing Saturday night.
Deputies say just before 11:30 p.m. Saturday night, an unknown individual called the Cayuga Taxi service for a pick-up at 100 Graham Road when the driver arrived, a man entered the cab and displayed a handgun, while demanding money from the driver. The suspect exited the cab and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect is described as white male, standing approximately 6 feet tall, weighing about 200 pounds and wearing a black hooded jacket and blue or black jeans at the time of the theft.
