Good news for drivers that use Route 281 to travel from Homer to Preble, the bridge over Cold Brooke Creek near the intersection of Cold Brook Road and White Bridge Circle is now open.

The bridge has been closed since early November and traffic was rerouted to Route 11, while state crews replaced the deck on bridge.

The project was included in the $1.2 billion New York Works Highway spending program meant to boost regional economies. The bridge repair cost $320 thousand dollars.
