Cortland Police Use Taser on Man Wanted for Parole Violation
Cortland City Police used a Taser on a man who fled from officers.

City Police say they attempted to arrest 28 year old Christopher Hewes of 32 Woodruff Street yesterday on a warrant charging him with violating his parole.

Hewes is currently on parole after serving state prison time for a 2006 burglary conviction.

Hewes lead police on a foot pursuit; they eventually deployed a Taser to subdue him. Hewes was charged with resisting arrest, he was being held this morning pending arraignment on the charges.
