Two Cortland Men Facing Felony D-W-I Charges Following Separate Traffic Stops
Cortland City Police have arrested two local men following traffic stops early this morning.
Just before two o'clock this morning City police stopped a vehicle on Clinton Avenue driven by 21 year old Ryan Grosjean of 44 Rickard Street.
Police say Grosjean failed to stop at a stop sign, during the stop it was determined that he was also under the influence of alcohol. Grosjean was charged with a felony count of aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor charge of D-W-I, and vehicle and traffic violations, he was awaiting arraignment today in City Court.
During a second stop just after 2:30 this morning police arrested 36 year old Derrick Purves of 200 Main Street.
Police say Purves failed to keep right on Tompkins Street, he was charged with a felony count of D-W-I due to a prior conviction within the last 10 years. Purves was also charged with vehicle and traffic violations, he too was awaiting arraignment today.
