Local Companies to Benefit From Grant Funded Training at TC3
The business development and workforce training arm of Tompkins Cortland Community College has secured a $74 thousand dollar grant to assist local companies with training efforts.
 
Employees in Tompkins and Cortland counties will be upgrading their skills and in turn will improving their job performance.
TC3.biz has secured funding through the SUNY Community College Workforce Development Training program to train local workers.
 
TC3.biz has worked with local organizations to design training programs specific to their individual business needs.
 
Companies that will benefit from the training programs include Franziska Racker Centers, The CBORD Group, Marietta Corporation, Pyrotek, Square Deal Manufacturing, Stork H&E Turbo Blading, and Tompkins Financial Corporation.
 
This training will cover a variety of topics, including customer service, leadership, lean office, computer skills, shop math, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing, and decision making and problem solving. The training will take place during this academic year, with all the programs completed by the end of June 2013.
