Congressman Hanna Holding Lottery For Presidential Inauguration Tickets
Republican Congressman Richard Hanna is holding a lottery for tickets to President Obama’s January inauguration.
Residents who want a chance to attend the January 21st Presidential Inauguration must register by emailing Rep. Hanna’s office by December 13. The lottery will take place on Friday, December 14. This date was chosen to allow more than one month for lottery winners to make plans to travel to Washington, D.C.
Those interested in tickets should be advised that the event is historically cold and wet. Crowds will be very large and all guests will be required to go through a thorough security screening. Attendees will be out in the cold for a minimum of three hours.
Tickets cannot be sold or given to others. Winners of the lottery will need to pick up their tickets, in person, from Congressman Hanna’s Washington, D.C. office on Sunday, January 20th.
The lottery for Hanna’s tickets is only open to residents in the 22nd Congressional district, that includes all of Chenango, Cortland, Madison and Oneida counties. It includes part of Broome, Herkimer, Oswego and Tioga counties.
Please email NY22InaugurationTickets@gmail.com
and include your name, address, daytime phone number, and number of tickets requested. No more than four tickets will be awarded to any one winner.
