A Cortland County man is acing D-W-I and other charges after he struck a vehicle and drove off.

 

On Wednesday State Police responded to report of a personal injury accident on Route 281 in Cortlandville.

 

Troopers say 28-year-old Patrick Toomey of Cortland sideswiped a vehicle near the intersection of Route 281 and 222; Toomey left the scene and was later stopped on Route 90 in Homer.

 

Toomey was found to be intoxicated and was charged with D-W-I and Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Motor Vehicle Accident.

 

Police did say say what the injuries entailed, but believed they were minor.
