Ithaca Man Indicted For Shooting a Police Officer
 A Tompkins County grand jury has indicted an Ithaca man on multiple felony charges including attempted murder in connection with the October shooting of an Ithaca City Police Pfficer.

22 year old Jamel Booker, was indicted Tuesday, he’s accused of shooting and wounding Ithaca police officer Anthony Augustine.

The shooting occurred after Officer Augustine attempted to stop Booker in stolen car back on October 11th.

Booker fled on foot and shot at Augustine as he pursued him, Augustine was struck in the shoulder, and he nearly died at the scene. Augustine was airlifted to the hospital where he also suffered from a stroke that left him with partial paralysis. He is recovering.
Booker is expected to plead not guilty at his arraignment on Nov. 29. He is being held at the Tompkins County Jail on $500,000 cash or $1 million bond.
The grand jury also indicted 35 year old Kimberly Harden,  of West Hill, who is charged with hindering prosecution. She is accused of helping Booker hide from police following the shooting.
