Cortland Residents Accused of Welfare Fraud
A Cortland couple is facing a felony charge for filing false paperwork as part of their application for public assistance.
23 year old Chad Henry and 20 year old Tiana Fink,both of 55 Clayton Ave. Cortland, were arrested Tuesday each charged with one a felony count of offering a false instrument for filing.
County investigators say on or about September 20th Henry and Fink submitted false documents to the Department of Social Services in an attempt to obtain benefits.
Both were issued appearance tickets and are due Cortland City Court on November 14th.
