Raid Turns Up Marijuana Growing Operation in Marathon
A Town of Marathon man is facing felony charge after police raided his home and found a marijuana growing operation.

Members of the Cortland County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant yesterday at a home located at 144 Tim Hill Road in the Town of Marathon.
During the search police found a small indoor marijuana growing operation in the garage. 
Agents seized several items including marijuana plants, over a ½ pound of packaged marijuana, items used to grow marijuana, a small caliber rifle and other drug paraphernalia. 
28 year old Richard Marks Jr. of that address has been charged with a felony count marijuana possession, as well as misdemeanor counts pf weapon possession, and unlawfully growing cannabis.
Marks was arraigned in the Town of Marathon Court and sent to the Cortland County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail, $50,000 bond. He is due back in the Town of Marathon Court on November 14th, 2012.

The investigation is continuing and additional charges are pending.
