Homeless Man Found Dead In Ithaca Encampment

The Ithaca Police Department has confirmed the discovery of a man’s body in a known homeless encampment.
On Monday officers and medical personnel responded to the homeless encampment, commonly known as the "Jungle", after receiving a report of an unresponsive man inside a tent.
36-year-old Gary Delaney was declared dead at the scene.
The last time that Delaney was seen alive was on Friday night at around 10:00 PM.
The police are awaiting the results of an autopsy, which is being performed at Lourdes Hospital in Broome County, before determining a cause of death.
