Tuesday, October 16, 2012
The Village of Dryden Police Department has been awarded $25 thousand dollars to study a possible merger or consolidation.
New York State is offering $4 million to local municipalities to fund projects designed to reduce costs and eliminate duplicate services.
The Local Government Efficiency Grants are aimed at addressing some of the factors that drive up New York’s property taxes, which are among the highest in the nation.
The grants will fund studies that look at the consolidation or dissolution of public safety and emergency communications services.
