Firefighters Respond to Shed Fire in Solon Saturday
Rescuers from four different fire departments responded to a fire at a farm in the Town of Solon Saturday morning.

Just before 9 o’clock Saturday morning rescuers were called to 4194 Route 41 for a storage building on fire.
Upon arrival firefighters encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from the out building, which is used to store tractors and other equipment. At least one tractor was inside building at the time.
Within 15 minutes crews had the flames knocked down, the Cortland County Fire Coordinators Office was on the scene and called for the County Fire Investigation Team to respond to determine a potential cause. At this point the cause has been listed as unknown and is still under investigation.
The property owners had been working outside the shed right before the fire started. No injuries were reported, a portion of Route 41 was shut down forcing a detour.

McGraw, Truxton, Marathon, and Cortlandville firefighters all responded to the scene.
