County Police Arrest One, Looking For Two Others in Robbery & Assault
A Connecticut man is facing robbery and assault charges; police are looking for two other suspects as well.
Cortland County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested 26-year-old Anthony Arsenault of 147 South Walnut Street, Wauregan, Connecticut. Arsenault is charged with felony counts of robbery, assault, and conspiracy. In addition he’s charged with a misdemeanor count of issuing a false written statement.
Police say on July 11th around three o’clock in the morning officers responded to a report of an assault and robbery that occurred behind Night Owl’s bar located at 3840 Route 11, Polkville.
The victim, Brian Dysinger said he was physically assaulted by acquaintances that he had met earlier in the evening in Cortland..
During the attack, the suspects stole the Dysinger’s wallet then fled the scene. The wallet was recovered a short distance away.
Police searched the area, during the investigation officers determined Arsenault and two other men were involved in the crime.
Arsenault was arraigned in the Town of Cortlandville Court and remanded to the Cortland County Jail, on$35,000 cash or $70,000 bail bond.
Arrest warrants have been issued for Joshua Bingham and Travis Gaudreau, who are believed to have been involved in the attack.
