State Police Arrest Cuyler Man After Missing Wife is Found Dead
State Police in Homer say they have arrested a Town of Cuyler man for murder.
 
Police say on Friday, they were called to 5769 Dog Hollow Road in Cortland County as part of an investigation into the disappearance of Janet Pottorff, 53. They searched the property and found Pottorff dead.
 
They found and arrested Keith Pottorff, 44, for the crime. He's being charged with 2nd degree murder. He was arraigned in Town of Cuyler court and sent to Cortland County Jail without bail.
 
Police say a forensic pathologist has determined Janet Pottorff died of asphyxiation, and her death has been ruled a homicide.
