National Weather Service: Tornado Did Touch Down Near Elmira on Thursday
It has now been confirmed that a tornado did in fact touch down near Elmira late Thursday afternoon, That’s according to the National Weather Service.

A report say that this tornado had winds of 105 to 110 miles per hour, which would make this a “EF1” on the Enhanced Fujita damage scale. This is the second lowest ranking.

As of today trees are still being cleared, along with power lines.

The severe storm hit on Thursday around 4pm with high winds. These winds toppled trees, and lifted roofs off some buildings.

As of now no injuries have been reported.
