Whitney Point Reservoir Water Level Being Lowered Temporarily
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is lowering the water level at the Whitney Point Reservoir next week in order to install new monitoring equipment.

The lake elevation will drop from 973 feet to 968 feet starting September 24th. The lowering process is expected to take until mid October.

The draw down is the required to complete the installation of equipment used to monitor the lake elevation. Lake elevation of 968 feet will be maintained for three to four days.
